LAH in collaboration with the Centre for Lebanese Studies at the Lebanese American University (LAU) is launching its professional development program for 2017-2018
The program aims at building participants’ capacities to develop disciplinary approaches to teaching history,
produce teaching material that promotes critical thinking and evidence-based research and improve history teaching in Lebanon.
► The program takes place over 2 years and consists of 6 workshops of 2 days each.
► The program includes individual mentoring and support to help teachers implement educational change in their classrooms.
► Participation is open to Cycle III and Secondary history teachers.
► Participants who complete this program will receive a certificate of achievement.
► Workshops will take place at the LAU, Beirut Campus.
► Accommodation will be offered free of charge to participants coming from outside Beirut.
► Participation fees is 150 000 Lebanese Pounds for two years.
The workshops take place from 8:00 am until 5:00 pm as per the following schedule:
