Nayla Hamadeh and Jihane Francis represented LAH at the EUROCLIO 25th annual conference held in Marseille on April 21-26, 2018. Nayla and Jihan facilitated a workshop entitled “Challenging the Peace Treaty for a more Sustainable Peace. The workshop offered an opportunity to present LAH and to show how we are contributing to the building of a more sustainable peace through an inclusive approach for teaching the Lebanese civil war through a multi narrative approach that fosters critical thinking and enquiry. It revealed how similar challenges are across countries. Jihane and Nayla also took part in several meetings that aimed to explore opportunities for collaborations within the Euro-Mediterranean region. Thanks to EUROCLIO, all the participants shared a safe space for exchange and learning, and of course for networking.
